Why are palms more expensive that other plants?
The most simple answer to this is time. Most palms are slow growing -especially when they are young. Most of our palms have been growing in bags for 15 -20 years and have had to be regularly weeded, fertilised pruned and cared for over that time. Most other nursery plants are ready for sale in 2-3 years

Consider as well that the bags contain 100-150L of potting mix and so the bag and mix cost $40-50 before the plant itself is added.
